O Retorno doa sombras da banda Ex-Thèrior! In English:
After being inactive for three years, the heavy metal band Ex-Thèrior will return with extremely clear changes to its makeup.
They will return only with the original members of the band, the brother and sister of metal and in real life, Athos Batista (keyboards) and Janielle Oglesbee (vocalist).
For them, the band Ex-Thèrior of has never died in there hearts along with the dream, the dream that has never been fulfilled.
"Many things have changed for us including our life experiences as well as musical ones."
The keyboardist (Athos) married one year ago and the vocalist (Janielle) had one child in 2006 and is expecting the second in set/oct of 2008. All of the old makeup of the band have gone through changes; have gone through profound changes in their private lives which along with the pregnancy of Janielle had helped to prolong the inactivity of the band.
“What hasn't allowed the ending of the band is our family ties", affirmed the brother and sister, “We always meet and talk with each other so it was impossible to not also talk about Ex-Thèrior. That is how we decided to return but not with the old big lineup of people."
Athos will continue as keyboardist and composer and Janielle will continue as vocalist as well as helping Athos with the composition of the lyrics.
What is's changed is that the band will contract musicians for the recording at CD’s and depending on the acceptance of the public and fans Ex-Thèrior will have a support band for the possible shows.
Janielle affirmed that she believes in the capacity to compose of her brother about the uniform style of his compositions and that they will be united by than just musical ties. Athos said that he is living in a new era of his musical life, “I have studied more and have investigated various techniques and styles along with this as my sister, and I believe that Ex-Thèrior has evolued equally with the evolution of his members.”
For those are fans of the band, the brother and the sister stated that one at the first things to be done is to find one way re-recording the old songs at the band which was not done in “Studio Metropolis” by their acquaintance Rodrigo Itaboray that don’t finish his job.
“Every time we listen to the unfinished songs we become very upset, not only us but all the old members of the band. So we’ll find some away to record the acoustics of “Ex-Dreams” and “Woads” to be placed on the MySpace of the band along with “Fire Clouds”. We also have a beautiful version of the song “To Fly” that we have played a few times in concerts but many fans have asked for a recording.”
In conclusion, Athos already returned to the process of composing and Janielle is in the process of finishing a new song.
To see the band live is a little distant but not impossible for the year 2009.
Com mudanças extremamente claras em sua frontline, a Ex-Thèrior voltará apenas com a presença original
dos irmãos no metal e na vida real Athos Batista (Keyboards) e Janielle Oglesbee (Vocals).
Segundo eles, a Ex-Thèrior nunca morreu em seus corações, tudo continua vivo como um sonho não realizado.
O tecladista Athos se casou há um ano e a vocalista Janielle teve um filho em 2006 e aguarda a chegada do segundo
filho para Set/Out de 2008. Todos na formação antiga da banda tiveram mudanças profundas em suas vidas particulares e,
com as pausas entre a gravidez de Janielle, todos tomaram rumos que só aumentaram a inatividade da banda.
"O que não deixa acabar com a banda de vez, são nossos laços familiares", afirmam Athos e Janielle. "Sempre nós encontramos e nos falamos
e é inevitável não tocarmos no assunto Ex-Thèrior. Então numa dessas conversas decidimos retornar com a banda porém não a faremos da forma clássica,
não teremos a grande formação."
Segundo os irmãos, Athos continuará com os teclados e com a composição das músicas e Janielle continua nos vocais e ajudando Athos na composição das letras.
O que mudará e que a banda contará com músicos contratados para as gravações dos CD's e dependendo das aceitação do público e dos fãs a Ex-Thèrior terá uma banda suporte
para possíveis shows. Janielle afirma que acredita na capacidade de composição do irmão e que desta forma o que forma a Ex-Thèrior uma banda,
uniforme em seu estilo e composição continuará original e estará sempre unida por mais que somente laços musicais. Athos diz que está vivendo uma nova era em sua vida musical, "tenho estudado mais e investigado varias técnicas e estilos,
aconteceu isso com a minha irmã também então acredito que a Ex-Thèrior evolui de forma igual, com a evolução de seus membros."
Para quem é fã da banda, os irmãos afirmam que uma das primeiras coisas a serem feitas será imortalizar as músicas antigas da
banda que não tiveram suas gravações finalizadas pelo estúdio Metrópole do conhecido Rodrigo Itaboray. "Toda vez que escutamos as gravações inacabadas ficamos muito chateados,
não só nós mas como todos da formação antiga da banda. Então nem que tenhamos que fazer um registro acústicos das faixas "Ex-Dreams" e" Woads" nós o faremos e disponibilizaremos no MySpace da banda junto com a faixa "Fire Clouds".
Também faremos uma bonita versão da mélodica "To Fly" que foi executada poucas vezes em shows mas que muitos fãs vieram nos pedir que gravássemos."
Para finalizar, Athos já retomou o processo de composição e Janielle está finalizando uma nova canção.
Ver a banda no palco ainda é um realização um pouco distante mas não impossível para 2009.
